Meet our Creative Director:

Maia Wijaya embarked on her fashion journey in 2017 at the Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti in Milan, Italy, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in fashion design. Immersed in Milan’s rich cultural and design heritage, Maia developed a distinctive artistic vision, inspired by the city’s fashion scene and her own passion for flowers and jewelry. Eager to refine her craft further, she pursued advanced studies in pattern making and draping at the Istituto di Moda Burgo in 2021, honing her technical expertise and creative approach.

Upon returning to Indonesia, Maia launched Maiia in 2022 as a bespoke couture label dedicated to fine craftsmanship and intricate detail. Her work quickly garnered attention within Indonesia’s fashion circles, leading to collaborations with Highend magazine, television features, and editorial spreads. In 2024, her talent reached a new milestone when she was asked to create a custom gala gown for Miss International Indonesia, showcasing her artistry on an international stage.

In July 2024, Maia expanded Maiia to include a children’s couture line inspired by the enchanting world of fairytales, featuring soft colors and delicate embellishments that evoke magic and wonder, while ensuring comfort for young clients. Maia’s meticulous eye for detail brings a timeless elegance and dreamlike quality to each piece.

Today, Maiia’s influence extends internationally, with the children’s line growing in popularity across Singapore, Malaysia, Korea, Hong Kong, and Dubai. As her global presence grows, Maia remains dedicated to leading Maiia with a commitment to artistry, quality, and the enduring charm that defines her designs.
